Digital menu boards are quickly replacing the printed displays above fast food countertops and bar stools alike, benefitting both the commercial integration industry as well as the restaurant industry.

At the National Restaurant Association (NRA) Show on May 16-19 in Chicago, BrightSign and WAND Corporation will demonstrate the fruits of a new partnership to deliver new digital capabilities to the market.

WAND Corporation works to bring the best technology to restaurants across the globe through its own services and its partners. WAND Digital is a cloud-based, QSR-specific software and restaurant management tool. The CMS system is equipped with a unique set of features and options designed specifically for the needs of restaurant, bar and fast food service operations. The system is easily operated across multiple locations, even from a mobile device.

BrightSign’s partnership with WAND will combine BrightSign’s wide range of solid-state media players with WAND’s software and content management system for a complete technology solution ideal for bars and restaurants.

More from BrightSign’s announcement:

“Digital menu boards must work all of the time, period,” says Dave Perrill, president of WAND Corporation. “BrightSign and WAND share a deep understanding of how important uptime is to restaurant operations. This isn’t simply an advertising vehicle—the content on the menu board directly impacts revenue.”

The combination of WAND’s cloud-based, QSR-specific software and restaurant management expertise and BrightSign’s portfolio of solid-state devices with no moving parts to fail is highly compatible with both companies’ shared mantra of providing unparalleled reliability for our mutual clients.

Jeff Hastings, CEO of BrightSign added, “BrightSign’s commitment to deliver forward-thinking solutions for the restaurant industry is driving this new integration with WAND. Our collaboration puts innovative digital menu boards and other promotional displays within easy reach of restaurants of all sizes – from single-location cafes to expansive chains.”

BrightSign’s wide range of features across multiple player models, such as HTML5 support and interactive capabilities, are compelling to restaurant operators. This turnkey solution is delivered by WAND complete with creative content services, deployment capabilities and 24×7 operational support.

BrightSign and WAND will demonstrate this new digital menu board solution in BrightSign’s booth #6067 at NRA Show 2015.
