In some ways there are more parallels to the consumer electronics industry occurring than what some commercial electronics professionals would care to admit.
Although somewhat vague, both markets are experiencing a renaissance in the field of audio. In the consumer market, streaming audio is driving a revolution in how the public consumes music. Over in the world of commercial audio world, smaller line arrays are now readily accessible within the channel to serve a variety of fixed install and portable needs.
While audio’s resurgence may be unrelated between the consumer and commercial markets, the same is not true with video. UltraHD or 4K is the hot technology in both categories. Consumer video research indicates the public is starting to ramp up its adoption of 4K, and in the commercial market, InfoComm 2015 saw a variety of 4K products that range from projectors and displays, to video-over-IP and source devices debut.
Validating these trends are the following 13 products, which stood out in a crowded InfoComm product field in Orlando this year.
