Extron Electronics recently introduced the TLC Pro 521M, an all-in-one 5-inch wall-mount touchpanel with built-in control processor.

The fully-configurable TLC Pro 521M borrows the touchscreen of Extron’s TLC Pro 520M TouchLink Pro Touchpanel and adds a secure, powerful control processor, resulting in a feature-packed touchpanel controller in a compact form factor.

For ease of integration, Power over Ethernet (PoE) “allows the touchpanel to receive power and communications over a single ethernet cable,” according to Extron’s announcement. “The TLC Pro 521M is ideal for classrooms, boardrooms, or any presentation environment requiring the visual appeal of a touchpanel and the flexible control options found within Extron control processors.”

Here’s more from Extron’s announcement:

“Extron developed the TLC Pro 521M as a direct response to customer requests for a compact, wall mount touchpanel that also includes the power of a built-in control processor,” says Casey Hall, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Extron. “This unique, versatile TouchLink controller is ideal for any conference room or presentation environment; and is especially useful in applications where rack space may be limited.”

The TLC Pro 521M can be customized using Extron GUI Designer software. This powerful interface design software offers ready-to-use templates for a wide variety of rooms and presentation environments. It is configured using Extron Global Configurator Plus or Global Configurator Professional software. The TLC Pro 521M also integrates seamlessly with Extron’s award-winning GlobalViewer Enterprise software for complete AV resource monitoring, management, and control over a computer network.
