InFocus Launches Jupiter Catalyst 4K Video Wall Processor

Hopefully the Jupiter Catalyst 4K videowall processor doesn’t get lost in the slew of other InFocus product releases at InfoComm 2016.

The latest addition to the InFocus Jupiter Catalyst, Catalyst 4K is designed to deliver razor-sharp ultra HD 4K resolution to every display on a video wall while being cost-effective and space-efficient.

InFocus says Jupiter Catalyst 4K processor delivers bandwidth reaching 336 Gbps providing Ultra HD 4K resolution and high frame rates. Native 4K input and output decoding in addition to support for standard HD sources enables advanced visualization of multiple simultaneous, high-quality data and video feeds, delivering the detail that matters in the most demanding environments.

Shipping with the just-announced InFocus Jupiter Canvas 5.0 collaborative visualization software, the combined products offer seamless access to a consolidated, visually precise display of business intelligence in a user’s network. Canvas 5.0 manages sources including live streams from network cameras and mobile devices, application screens from PCs and real-time data feeds. Users can view, share and annotate on the live feeds with remote colleagues working on a range of different devices, including smartphones, tablets, laptop PCs, and desktop PCs, or in conference rooms equipped withInFocus Canvas Touch or CRS-4K display endpoints.

Space efficient yet scalable with support for up to four extension chassis, Catalyst 4K is ideal for display wall projects of any size – from control rooms to smaller conference rooms and executive office applications. It supports up to 28 4K sources, up to 56 HD sources and up to 12 4K displays, which can showcase up to 48 HD sources.
