At this year’s InfoComm show, Opticomm-Emcore showed off its video distribution products, along with several new additions to its matrix switch and video-over-IP lines.
The new Genesis GXD switch is a full crosspoint matrix switch, capable of handling up to 4k/60 content complete with HDBaseT and fiber optic inputs and outputs, as well as HDMI, DVI and DisplayPort.
The company also showed the Optiva system, which is full compatible with the Genesis GXD switch. This card-based point-to-point system can interface directly with the switch to provide a full distribution system, says Don Hosmer, regional sales manager at Opticomm-Emcore.
Also shown at InfoComm were the company’s video-over-IP products, including the brand new HD4 encoders and decoders, as well as its new active-fiber cable for HDMI transmission.
