Mackie Lowers Price on DL806 Digital Mixer with iPad Control

Published: 2014-07-23

Mackie offers a wide range of audio products that includes speakers, studio monitors, mixers and amplifiers.

The Skinny: Making the summer a little bit better for live sound engineers and musicians, the Woodinville, Wash.-based company announced that it is lowering the price of its 8-channel DL806 by 25 percent.

The Specs: The DL806 mixer offers users a digital feature set that provides more versatility than analog mixers according to the company.

“Just because your application has a lower channel count, it shouldn’t mean you are stuck with an analog mixer with limited capabilities,” says Ben Olswang, product manager, Mackie. “From wireless mixing to tons of powerful processing, the DL806 delivers much more than you expect for the low price. It’s something only Mackie can do.”

Mackie explains the DL806 allows for complete wireless control from an iPad, iPhone or iPod Touch to permit the I/O to be placed in locations that are accessible to either musicians or engineers.

Some of the features built into the DL806 include compression and graphic equalizers, reverbs and delays, limiting functions to protect connected speakers, and system alignment tools for syncing multiple speakers in large venues. In addition, the product also offers preconfigured presets to help novice users or experienced users expedite the setup process.

Solutions: The DL806 from Mackie can be used for everything from small coffee shop type environments and systems with singer/songwriters, to large venues and big bands.
