The annual InfoComm show is one of the most important trade events in the electronics industry.
The Skinny: As part of this year’s show, the electronics manufacturer Matrox will show several products at its booth locations (N2247 and N3170).
The Specs: One of the product lines the company will display is its Maevex series of products that includes the Maevex 5100 Series encoder/decoder. Matrox says the product extends 1080p 60Hz video and audio over a standard IP network. The product utilizes H.264 technologies, and it operates on standard 100/1000MB networks.
The product also supports open encoding to allow third-party software decoding, and it is capable of handling a variety of screen resolutions and aspect ratios. Matrox adds the Maevex eliminates the need for PC drivers, and the small footprint product is rack mountable.
Solutions: Matrox says the Maevex 5100 series encoder/decoder can be used for just about any situation where HD video and digital audio needs to be transmitted over an IP network.
