Barco has added a 3-chip DLP, 30,000-lumen model with WUXGA resolution to its HDF projector portfolio for large venues and rental and staging applications.
The HDF-W30LP FLEX projector offers high brightness levels and an extremely long life, according to Barco. Note the “LP” for laser phosphor.
For customers that own a Barco HDF-W30 FLEX without the LP, Barco has also unveiled a laser phosphor retrofit module, so they can replace the lamp in their existing projector with a laser phosphor module.
The HDF-W30LP FLEX projector has the same lenses, very wide lens shift range, ease of use, and modularity as the other HDX and HDF models, according to Barco.
The HDF-W30LP FLEX is ready to order and will begin shipping in Summer 2016.

The cooling unit can be positioned up to eight meters (26 feet) away from the projector, so it can be easily attached to a wall or mounted in a truss.
