Peerless-AV displayed its Xtreme Outdoor Displays, which it says is an ideal solution for zoos and aquariums. With weatherproof technology, Peerless-AV’s Xtreme displays are capable of year-round outdoor digital signage. The flat panel displays are sealed and engineered to endure the outside elements in all seasons, including harsh environments with varying weather conditions.
More from Peerless-AV‘s press release:
Peerless-AV’s Xtreme Displays provide a ventless design to keep out dirt, water, dust, and insects, while withstanding extreme heat (+140°) and extreme cold (-40°) without damaging the Full HD 1080p LCD. This patented design completely seals all internal components as well as the cable entry – protecting the display from difficult weather conditions and even pressure washing.
When it comes to indoor solution, Peerless-AV showed off custom kiosk enclosures, offering customization options such as colors or logos with vinyl or digital printing. The enclosures can also feature stereo speakers and an amplifier, Wi-Fi, NFC devices, proximity sensors, and tempered glass or Lexan surfaces with anti-glare treatment.
More from Peerless-AV‘s press release:
Photo and video equipment can be incorporated to offer interactivity, allowing for further information about animals in these settings to be shared, increasing engagement and entertainment.
Peerless-AV’s new line of totem multi-media kiosk enclosures are also ideal for zoos and aquariums, incorporating a robust feature set, while maintaining a modern, curvaceous, and slim aesthetic look with lean frames and a small footprint. From wayfinding to schedules to exhibition information, the new line of totem kiosks “Get it Right” for zoos and aquariums, housing 40” – 80” displays in portrait orientation. The kiosk enclosures are available in multiple configurations, too, such as using two displays, one on each side.
Making the move from static signage to Peerless-AV digital signage offers aquariums and zoos increased efficiency in communications and a reduction in operational costs, as signage need not be reprinted and replaced due to weathering or exhibit changes.
