Published: 2014-02-25

During the recently completed Digital Signage Expo in Las Vegas, Planar introduced its latest display solution.

The Skinny: Working with the well-known textile and industrial manufacturer Corning, the Ore.-based video company announced its 84-inch 4K UltraRes Touch with ERO and Corning’s Gorilla Glass.

The Specs: Planar says the display is durable and scratch-resistant to allow use in a number of locations. The product supports 32 simultaneous touch points and its slender 1.3-inch bezel is designed to complement any number of interior designs.

Planar says the 84-inch display’s 3840×2160 native resolution delivers four times the resolution of a standard HD display. The product ships with the company’s MediaPlex software, which allows for as many as eight sources to be viewed (four at a time) in 42-inch diagonal full HD quadrants.

In addition, the company points out the 84-inch display complies with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) through its slim 3.6-inch mounting depth, and the product can be mounted in a landscape or portrait position.

Solutions: Planar’s 84-inch 4K with ERO and Corning’s Gorilla Glass can be used for collaboration walls, touch tables and in business settings that include retail stores, museums, hotels and corporate lobbies.
