At last year’s InfoComm show, Salamander Designs took the floor with an announcement of its brand new commercial division.

Previously a residential-only AV furniture manufacturer, Salamander has expanded to bring custom furniture design and engineering services to the commercial market.

The company brings good news to InfoComm this year. The company says it has had a strong start in the commercial market in the last year. Salamander has partnered with Leon Speakers to offer custom speaker integration and worked on the SFC Standards Committee.

With several successful commercial projects under its belt, Salamander is even more eager to get the word out about their newest division. At InfoComm 2014, attendees can speak with Salamander Designs about its fully customizable cabinets, AV carts, luxury lounge seating, and TV mounts for applications such as video conferencing, collaboration spaces, board and conference rooms, hospitality areas, luxury lounges, waiting rooms, and more.

The company provides unique interior and exterior options such as pro AV equipment mounting, integrated video monitors and audio speakers, camera and speaker mounts, cooling fans, charging trays for portable devices, storage drawers, rack rails, and in-cabinet refrigerators that can be configured to suit any project need.

“We are building furniture with a purpose,” says recently appointed Salamander Commercial division manager, Daniel Murphy. “Over twenty years ago, Salamander was founded on the ‘design your own’ concept for the residential market. Today, Salamander Commercial takes that same concept and brings it up a notch, truly enhancing the commercial market space.”

Salamander says its furniture pieces are elegant, flexible, and durable. Each piece is built-to-order and designed specifically around individual project requirements. Contract furniture offerings from Salamander Commercial include custom finish matching and custom panels, and contract OEM.

All products are American-made in Salamander’s 100% solar powered Bloomfield, CT facility.

“The response from InfoComm 2013 was tremendous, and we are looking forward to another successful show this year,” says Murphy.

“Salamander is a great resource for any stakeholder on a commercial project, and we are proving that one project at a time,” says Sal Carrabba, founder of Salamander Designs. “Having exceptional products, as well as a dedicated division manager who is well versed in this category is essential when it comes to providing superior, knowledgeable service. Dan’s extensive background in business development and furniture makes him a perfect fit to lead the Salamander Commercial Division.”
