The Skinny: The company’s latest announcement is designed to save electronics professionals and their clients the investment into its ColorChecker software which supports the ability view accurately calibrated displays and monitors.
The Specs: Using a probe and a pattern generator, the ColorChecker product allows installation professionals or their clients to chart the performance of displays and monitors to verify the products comply to standards such as Rec709, Digital Cinema or Adobe RGB.
The Seattle-based company adds the software also provides a platform for comparing color performance between displays to inform electronics professionals and/or their clients the differences in performance between monitors.
Solutions: The software is available as a free download and can be used by production, post production broadcast professionals.
