Apple computers were once only used by a small group of diehard Mac fanatics.
Today that isn’t the case. While not the dominant player that Microsoft-based products are in the computer industry, Apple’s market share has increased driven by the popularity of its iOS and iTunes products.
The Skinny: Providing an increased level of display connectivity to the growing number of Apple computer users is the company StarTech.
The Specs: The newly announced Mini DisplayPort (mDP) to VGA/DVI/HDMI converter from StarTech provides Mac users with a small and lightweight solution that connects to a variety of display devices for presentations and everyday work activities.
StarTech says the converter is a three-in-one solution for connecting Apple products such as Thunderbolt-equipped MacBook Pro and MacBook Air computers to projectors, monitors and HDTVs. The converter is a passive unit to eliminate the need for any external power supplies, and StarTech says the product supports resolutions up to 1920×1080.
Solutions: The Mini DisplayPort to VGA/DVI/HDMI can be used in any number of offices to connect Apple computers to video displays that feature VGA, DVI and HDMI inputs.
