Video Weekly News: SnapAV, Video Walls and Sports, Sports, Sports

SnapAV has acquired SunBriteTV, video walls are everywhere, and we’ve been pretending we are sports reporters here at CI. Here’s the news of the past week, brought to you by editor Tom LeBlanc.

The past week has been a fun one here at Commercial Integrator. There was big news of a major acquisition in the industry: SnapAV has acquired SunBriteTV, a company that manufactures outdoor TVs for commercial spots such as entertainment venues, bars and restaurants, and stadiums.

The acquisition should put SnapAV on commercial integration firms’ radars, if it wasn’t there already.

We’re also hosting a video wall spotlight on the home page of CI this week. That means we’re taking an in-depth look at trends, analysis and interesting project stories involving video walls. Check out the College Football Hall of Fame and the Walmart Collaboration Center, and how video walls enhance these intricate installations.

Also, things have been happening in the world of sports. That’s the extent to which web editor Chelsea Cafiero knows what’s going on, but editor-at-large Craig MacCormack might know a bit more. He’s gone crazy posting news of the Chicago Cubs’ video boards and whatever these Blue Jays fans are doing.

Check out all this and more in this week’s Video Weekly News.
