Kramer Electronics has launched its new VP-427X2, a 4K receiver and scaler tool that features dual HDBaseT inputs and a local HDMI to facilitate multiple device connectivity for automatic signal switching in meeting and conferencing spaces.

According to the company, the device ensures “superb 4K picture quality” via up, down and cross-scaling to the display’s native resolution, or any resolution up to 18G 4K.

Kramer says the VP-427X2, intuitive user experience was designed to automate meetings to and ensure smooth switching between multiple inputs, making It deal for bring-your-own-device (BYOD) environments, including meeting rooms, auditoriums and lecture halls.

Users can remotely control the device and display settings via ethernet, RS-232 control and data tunneling, and plug-and-play automation and auto-switching optimize usability and connectivity. The device also offers support for an occupancy sensor and CEC controls with a timeout period to support sustainability initiatives.

The VP-427X2 also features Kramer’s Pix-Perfect Scaling Technology to ensure precise pixel mapping and high-quality scaling.
