Adding to its selection of automated camera and video product systems, the1 Beyond Automate is a multi-camera media processing line of products that can be used to record and stream video conference sessions.

Triggered by voice or easy-to-use selectable scenarios, the new products automate camera motion and switching in addition to multi-window compositing and tilting.

1 Beyond Automate recommends the products for meetings, conferences, panel discussions, distance learning, lecture capture and corporate training events.

“We have been recognized as having the most advanced video conferencing and lecture capture technology and now with four camera functions [power, setup, control and configuration] over a single Ethernet cable, we are the easiest to install,” states Terry Cullen, founder, 1 Beyond.

1 Beyond Automate Scales to Environmental and Usage Scenarios

The new Automate line of products replaces the company’s previous-generation solution the Collaborate AVS and Automate RCS Systems and software.

The new line packages a choice of four bundles that feature PTZ cameras, multimedia processors and all the necessary accessories to completely arm a system.

System configurations include:

  • 1 Beyond Automate VX ($12,995) and Automate VX Pro: This line uses microphones in the room to identify the active speaker and provides voice-activated switching (VX) of camera views
  • 1 Beyond Automate Select ($9,595) and Automate Select Pro:  These system solutions provide selectable and customized layouts with automated camera control that covers different presentation situations

According to the video company, its products are easy to specify and install into a range of room sizes and environments.

Built in room presets can also be saved for spaces that are divisible or host multiple furniture configurations and integrators can utilize as many as seven cameras within a room. [related]

The product line’s multimedia processor combines multiple video sources and content sources and supports superimposed titles and other custom graphics.

Aiding the design process is a GUI menu that enables users to customize video conference layouts.

Moreover, the inclusion of a built encoder and recorder enable multiple live streams of video conference streaming, program recording and ISO recordings.

The Boston-based video conferencing manufacturer says voice activated switching in Automate VX solutions are supported for Shure Microflex Advance (MXA910), MXA310) microphones, and Shure Discussion Microphones (MXCW, MXC, DDS 5900 and DCS 6000).

Multiple types of microphones can also be used with either the Shure P300 or Shure SCM820-DAN.
