3 Reasons Why Kramer Control Sticks Out

Published: 2020-11-03

Tom Kopin, Kramer AV, recently joined us for another episode of CI 3 Questions. Here, he discusses what makes Kramer Control unique among its competition.

Commercial Integrator: We’ve seen many organizations move to hybrid employee schedules. How can control solutions bridge the gap and make sure meetings are efficient for both in-office and remote employees?

Tom Kopin: Creating a simple user interface to use the room — especially if there’s new tech in it — can allow for a one-touch, smoother process. The easier the interface for people who aren’t using them every day, the better.

General automation can be helpful. When someone walks in, they don’t even need to touch a screen; or if they walk out of the room, it can “shut off.”

CI: Kramer Control tries to target itself as a solution for these hybrid work environments. How does it succeed there?

TK: We’re in the cloud. So when I’m working from home, someone calls and says “this room isn’t working,” I can get into the user interface remotely and press buttons for them.

FEATURED REPORT

If I know people are coming in for a meeting, I can even get the room ready for them without even being in the office.

Kramer Control is unique for being in the cloud and accomplishing so many things over the internet.

CI: How does Kramer Control differ from competitors?

TK: It really is that cloud mentality that all of our programming environment is done on the internet. We can publish configurations over the internet; the ability to remotely access the UI is so important and convenient for users. You can’t do that with other control systems.
