With ISE 2025 just a few days away, Commercial Integrator catches up with Stéphane Tremblay, President of the SDVoE Alliance, to learn more about the alliance’s exciting “Power of Ten” initiative. Its purpose is to demystify 10 GbE technology and show the commercial AV industry why it’s crucial for high-quality, demanding applications.
Tremblay makes a persuasive case that 10 GbE isn’t new. On the contrary, it has been the backbone of data centers for more than 20 years. It’s mature, robust and absolutely reliable, Tremblay declares.
The campaign highlights 10 specific areas where SDVoE technology really shines. This is what the alliance calls the ten “power” points of SDVoE.
During this short, 13-minute interview, however, Tremblay really focuses on three key benefits:
- With 10 GbE, it is possible to transmit video without compression, maintaining the full integrity of the signal;
- SDVoE and 10 GbE delivers zero-latency performance, ensuring that the user experience is seamless and immediate;
- SDVoE and 10 GbE architecture supports multiview and videowall processing natively, without requiring additional hardware — a significant advantage for integrators.
Tremblay also addressed the importance of interoperability, one of SDVoE’s defining strengths. Unlike alternative standards, SDVoE ensures complete compatibility across all its products. From codecs to APIs and control software, every SDVoE solution is built on a unified platform. This simplifies integration, reduces complexity, and guarantees a reliable, consistent experience for users and integrators alike.
