KanexPro Matrix Switch Transmits 1080p on Single Cat-5e up to 230 Feet

KanexPro’s new HDBaseT Matrix Switcher supports a variety of AV formats and configuration scenarios to enable integrators to set up a range of AV systems with distributed HD media.

HDBaseT is one of the hottest technologies in the electronics market. As 2014 rolls into the spring and summer months, more companies and more installations will adopt this format.

The Skinny: Adding to its selection of signal transmission products, KanexPro introduced its latest matrix switcher.

The Specs: KanexPro says the switcher is engineered to be versatile and reliable. It offers features such as the ability to transmit 1080p at 60Hz or 1920×1200, as well as the latest HDMI specification which includes data rates as high as 6.75Gbps.

Through the unit’s inclusion of the HDBaseT format, the switch extends 1080p content up to 230 feet on a single Cat-5e cable. It also transmits bidirectional control (IR, TCP/IP) and RS-232), and can be configured by integrators with outputs ranging from 4×4 to 32×32 with full HDCP and EDID management.

Solutions: KanexPro says the new matrix switch can be used for everything from standard AV installations to digital signage systems.
