VMP to Show New Rack Enclosures at InfoComm 2014

Published: 2014-04-24

With shows such as CES, ISE and ISC West now in the books, the last major electronics trade event before the fall season is rapidly approaching.

The Skinny: With the annual InfoComm show less than two months away, companies like Video Mount Products (VMP) are already deep into their show plans.

The Specs: The Stevensville, Md.-based manufacturer plans to showcase its new Equipment Rack Enclosure (EREN) series of rack products. VMP is already shipping the EREN-18, the EREN-27 and the EREN-42E products.

The company explains it developed the products to provide property owners with a safe and secure way to house their electronics systems.

“The cost-effective, portable and fully welded EREN family of 19-inch equipment rack enclosures has been designed for installations where protected components are a necessity,” says Keith Fulmer, president of VMP. “The EREN Series, which comes complete with integrated cooling fans and lockable, removable side panels (with optional locks), allows for the organization of multiple electronic components, while at the same time protecting them from thermal issues, as well as damage or theft.”

VMP says the products include welded steel construction, black powder coat finishes, and the ability to handle up to 1,000 pounds of weight. In addition, they provide several other dealer-friendly features:

  • Compatibility with standard 19-inch components
  • Rails threaded with standard 10-32 threading
  • Tempered glass front doors
  • Double swing steel rear doors
  • Vented top and bottoms
  • Top and bottom cable knock-outs
  • Casters and leveling feet
  • VMP ships the racks fully assembled

Solutions: The EREN series of racks can be used for A/V, security, network, automation and other electronics systems installs.
