Broadcast Pix fX3D 3D Graphics System Engineered for Versatility

In just about a month’s time, the National Association of Broadcasters is set to host its annual NAB show in Las Vegas where professionals from markets such as post production, broadcast, education, house of worship and digital media meet to see the latest tools of their respective trades.

The Skinny:The Billerica, Mass.-based company Broadcast Pix is participating in this huge trade show and will display its fX3D 3D graphics system.

The Specs: Broadcast Pix latest product is designed to serve as a stand-alone graphics solution for use in existing broadcast infrastructures, or it can be used in conjunction with its Granite or Mica integrated production switchers. The system includes three software modules designed to create a simplified end-to-end graphics workflow. Its interface offers users a 3D modeler, light and shading capabilities, movement, real-time control of 3D objects and independent HD.

In addition the fX3D system API allows the system to be controlled via the company’s broadcast switchers, and it also allows integration with third-party products.

Solutions:  Some of markets the fX3D real-time 3D graphics system addresses include live events, broadcast news, sports and channel branding.
