Neil Willis of Hypersign joins us for another edition of CI 3 Questions. This time, all about the continued relevancy of distance learning as an opportunity for integrators.
Commercial Integrator: Distance learning solutions have become a necessity, but their benefits can last even after COVID. Can you explain how and why that is?
Neil Willis: It allows remote students — not just those quarantining, but those who, in the future, need to study abroad. It gives them a real classroom experience as opposed to a talking head.
A virtual experience like that will benefit colleges by expanding their reach.
CI: The Hypersign Arena solution is something you’re offering to continue to build on the distance learning space. Tell us about that.
NW: The Arena is made for live sessions which gives the teacher/host a broad spectrum of control. Broadcast-quality video and audio are added in to make for a better quality environment.
We have the capability to add in some in-person students as well. But now we’re working with sporting facilities at schools and in commercial sport facilities with the same solution which allows for question/answering sessions in a high quality platform.
CI: How important are turn-key solutions and ease-of-install for the company?
NW: I owned an integration company for many years. We know the channel. There are a lot of partnerships we can provide to make a stronger solution. We don’t do 100% of everything, but that partnership capability makes us even stronger.
