ICE Cable Systems Cat-5e, Cat-6 Receive HDBaseT Certification

ICE Cable Systems has announced its Cat-5e and Cat-6 cabling products are HDBaseT certified to ensure the highest possible performance when used with certified HDBaseT solutions.

Since its debut, HDBaseT has been steadily gaining momentum in the residential and commercial electronics markets.

Validating the staying power of this long-distance signal transmission technology are announcements such as ICE Cable Systems newly certified Cat-5e and Cat-6 products.

Having gone through the certification process to verify the performance of ICE Cable Systems’ Cat-5e and Cat-6 products, the company is taking steps to ensure the consistent performance of its cables with HDBaseT transmission solutions as the technology platform continues to increase its popularity in both the residential and commercial markets.

“With HDBaseT, installers are running video, audio, Ethernet, control and power all on one cable, all of which requires equipment ‘handshakes’ on each end,” points out Brian Rizzo, president of ICE Cable Systems. “We want to help installers do it right the first time so they can move onto other areas of the job. ICE Cable Systems’ newly certified Cat-5e and Cat-6 cable products are sold in bulk cartons of 1,000 feet (305 meters) and designed with installers in mind. According to the Los Angeles-based manufacturer, it incorporates its REELEX II carton payout system in the packaging of its cabling products. Through this packaging step, installers can pull the cable without the fear of tangles.

In addition to its Cat-5e and Cat-6 cable products’ HDBaseT certification, the products are also UL Listed, ETL verified and RoHS compliant.
