Audinate plans to host free Dante audio training webinars for its Dante Certification Program. This initiative will cover levels 1, 2 and 3 training for audio engineers, integrators, designers and audiovisual technicians. Audinate will conduct the webinars via video with an instructor from December 12 to 14. Audinate is, of course, the developer of the professional AV-industry leading Dante AV-over-IP solution.

The Dante Certification Program allows AV companies to train employees at no cost. It enables them to promote the company for its knowledge and skills to implement Dante networks. At the same time, the program ensures a consistent vocabulary and methodology when designing, operating and maintaining Dante network systems.

Multi-Level Dante Certification Program Training

Each level of Dante Certification Program training covers different material; accordingly, each level builds on previous activity. What follows is a breakdown of each level:

  • Level 1 training focuses on fundamental audio, video and networking skills. It also introduces the main tools used in a Dante network.
  • Level 2 certification training builds up the skills necessary to confidently design, set up, operate and troubleshoot Dante systems that span multiple network switches.
  • Level 3 certification covers the fundamentals of Layer 3 enterprise networks and how to work on converged networks. It also covers the role Dante Domain Manager plays, how it enables more network capability and how it offers a view of the server itself.

Dante is, of course, the longstanding, highly prominent protocol for digital audio networking. It enables the distribution of hundreds of uncompressed, multi-channel digital audio channels via standard Ethernet networks with near-zero latency and perfect synchronization. Dante Certification Program training also applies to Dante AV products, which add networked video to the Dante platform.

With 325 Dante original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) delivering more than 3,800 networked and video devices, including video cameras, microphones, loudspeakers and amplifiers, it is the most common network that an AV professional will use. Thus, Dante Certification Program training is truly valuable.

Each course lasts four hours and requires the successful completion of a test to receive certification. To learn more or to register for training, explore these additional resources.
