AUO Display Plus (ADP) has obtained the required internal approval to pursue a proposed acquisition of Avocor Technologies USA, Inc. According to a statement, the parties are now in the process of finalizing the detailed terms and conditions of the proposed acquisition and will work together to reach an agreement on the final terms.
AUO Display Plus, a subsidiary of AUO Corporation (AUO), specializes in a range of vertical fields, including education, enterprise, retail, healthcare, and transportation. Together with its partners, AUO Display Plus develops value-added display applications and provides integrated hardware and software solutions.
Avocor is, of course, the Wilsonville, Ore.-based, provider of collaborative communication solutions.
The acquisition plan is expected to combine the operational synergy of both companies in product development, business operations, marketing, sales and R&D talent. The goal is to build a comprehensive value chain within the display ecosystem, accelerating the development of smart education and enterprise sectors for AUO Display Plus.
Avocor was founded in 2016 with a mission to create user-friendly, cutting-edge display solutions that transform how people work and learn. From the outset, Avocor focused on developing technology that bridges the gap between digital and physical interaction, making it easier for people to share ideas, engage in discussions, and collaborate seamlessly.
Avocor’s solutions are used worldwide, transforming how people collaborate in various sectors. Avocor’s solutions enable more effective meetings and remote collaboration in the corporate world. In education, these displays foster interactive learning, making lessons more engaging for students and teaching more efficient for educators.
The acquisition, once completed, will position Avocor for long-term growth and stability, providing a platform for enhanced developments in display technology.
The alignment with AUO Display Plus will enable Avocor to accelerate its pipeline, bringing cutting-edge solutions to market faster and more efficiently. There will also be benefits to supply chain, engineering and regional operations.
Since 2022, the leadership teams of AUO, ADP, and Avocor have worked closely together, laying the groundwork for this seamless transition. As part of the agreement, Avocor CEO, Scott Hix, will assume the role of GM of AUO Education and Enterprise Business Group and CMO of ADP, bringing his expertise and leadership to the new structure.
