AVAD VendoCOMM Events Aim to Introduce Commercial Market to Resi Integrators

AVAD announces it will hold four one-day VendoComm events in Ft. Lauderdale, Denver, New York metro and Orange County, Calif. designed to introduce commercial product suppliers to residential integrators.

AVAD LLC is announcing the 2014 VendoCOMM tour, a series of one-day trade events offering custom installers access to commercial manufacturers, service providers and industry influencers. The debut event of the 2014 tour will be held March 27 in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.

Following the premiere launch of VendoCOMM, three additional North American regions will play host to this extraordinary commercial trade show tour: Denver, Colo., New York metro area and Orange County, Calif.

The first VendoCOMM officially kicks off at 9:30 a.m. with a keynote address titled “Technology Trends and How to Evolve Your Business to Stay Relevant” presented by Ryan Cahoy of RiseVision. The event will feature a diverse range of training sessions beginning at 10:00 a.m. and running until 4 p.m., including lunch for attendees. Select training opportunities presented by the AVAD System Design Group are now also eligible for CEDIA CEU credits, and participating dealers will receive a certificate upon completion for their records.

Another feature of VendoCOMM will be the full day of product exhibits and special promotions displayed by over two dozen leading industry brands. AVAD is also working with partners to offer digital signage initiatives that bundle software and hardware to make it easier for dealers to sell. Participants in the inaugural tour include Samsung Professional, The Harman Group, Lutron, QSC, SurgeX and many others. VendoCOMM 2014 has also added Gefen, Gepco, JVC Professional, Revolution Acoustics, RTI, Screen Innovations and URC.

“AVAD is able to drive the commercial custom install marketplace because we listen to dealers about their needs, talk to manufacturers about improving what they bring to the table and combining it all together with new value-added solutions,” says Cynthia Menna, director of commercial sales at AVAD. “VendoCOMM is back with a bigger presence in 2014 to bring AVAD’s model to more of North America and give our dealers a leg up on their regions by making them better able to serve the latest and greatest to their customers. It’s all part of our Custom Install 2.0 vision.”

The full schedule of training sessions for the Fort Lauderdale VendoCOMM includes the following courses:

  • 10:00 a.m.: Designing Commercial Audio Systems for Maximum Performance and Profit, presented by Harman Professional
  • 11:00 a.m.: The Future is Now for IP Video, presented by Mobotix
  • 12:30 p.m.: An Introduction to Advanced Digital Signal Processing from BSS, presented by Harman Professional
  • 1:00 p.m.: Introduction to Samsung MagicInfo Lite, presented by Samsung Professional
  • 2:00 p.m.: Another Display in the Wall, presented by PROconnect
  • 3:00 p.m.: Digital Signage 101, presented by the AVAD System Design Group

The events include complimentary lunch and snacks, and attendees will have the opportunity to win valuable prize giveaways. In addition, free Apple iTunes gifts cards will be awarded to the first 25 attendees that sign in.
