CI Fantasy Football League: Week 4 Results and In-Depth Analysis

To paraphrase Bill Parcells, you are what your fantasy football record says you are. That is sobering news for some folks this week, as our CI Fantasy Football League week 4 results and updated standings show some better teams separating from the pack while others lag behind.

A handful of unbeaten teams remain, while several severely beaten teams struggle to find their footing in the treacherous world of CI Fantasy Football.

OK, let’s get to it …

Standings of CI Fantasy Football League after Week 4:

Commissioner’s Week 4 Spin:They said it couldn’t be done. But for the first time this season the commissioner’s team is aptly named. My Team Is Better actually proved better than his opponent with a 131.5 to 93.6 victory. Things may change a week from now. So I’m going to enjoy this.

La Grange Park Perfect Pixels (NEC) 4-0
Banner Clique (CI) 3-1
Team Mercil (SureCall) 3-1
Tampa Steelers (AVI-SPL) 3-1

Editor-at-large Craig MacCormack is undefeated through 4 weeks.

Commissioner’s Week 4 Spin:In a battle of the undefeateds, Banner Clique held a 12-point lead over the La Grange Park Perfect Pixels heading into the fourth quarter of the final game. Having only a kicker remaining, the Perfect Pixels saw their kicker net four field goals to emerge victorious 126.2 – 123.9. The only other undefeated team also fell this week, with Magic Skol Bus pulling off the upset over Team Mercil, 103 – 101.2.

Rolls Royce and Mac Daddies kept up their undefeated seasons, while Team Donnelly and Team Means still haven’t tasted victory. Maybe next week?

CI Fantasy Football: Group 4 (Commissioner Tom LeBlanc)
Skol Vikings (AVI Systems) 3 – 1
Can You Diggs It (Human Circuit) 3 – 1
Team LeBlanc (Commercial Integrator 3 – 1
Team Luisi (Diversified) 3 – 1

Commissioner’s Week 4 Spin: After a week of tough matchups, there are no longer any undefeated or winless teams in this league of parity. Team Pearson got 30-plus points from both Andrew Luck and Deandre Hopkins to edge out previously undefeated Skol Vikings, 149.9 to 149. Can You Diggs it suffered its first defeat, falling to Team LeBlanc 176.5 to 134. Philly Special earned its first win, toppling Team Wells 120.5 to 84.1.

CI Fantasy Football: Group 5 (Commissioner Chelsea Cafiero)
Nebraska Taco Corp (Schaefers TV) 3-1
2 Gurleys One Cup (Database Works) 3-1
Bitter Donkey’s (InfoCor) 3-1
The Evil Empire (Rock Electric) 2-2

Team Schutzer (Opt Online) 2-2
Team HiBoost (HiBoost) 1-3
South Central Mud Dogs (Electrosonic) 1-3
Team Wynn (Thomas Communications) 1-3

Commissioner’s Week 4 Spin: This league is pretty well matched. No longer is any one team undefeated or on a losing streak, and it’s become a tight race. Week 4 saw six teams break 100, including your Commissioner who, thanks to a last-minute pickup of Rams QB Jared Goff, is officially a threat.

Winners in Week 4 include Team Wynn (87.4), Team Schutzer (122.4), Mr. McGibblets (127.5), Bitter Donkeys (147.8) and Smiling Mallards (with a whopping 167.7). Hopefully Mallards’ game falls as your Commish takes them on in Week 5.
