Datapath announced it will showcase its latest flagship VSN V3 video processor for the first time at InfoComm 2023 for U.S. audiences. Per the Derby, U.K.-based company, it will also double down on its ‘Empowering the Operator’ ethos with a range of software enhancements to its Aetria solution.

VSN at InfoComm 2023

The VSN is Datapath’s high-end video processor, used by governments and organizations in control rooms across the globe. The VSN V3 (third generation) will support the latest 12th Gen Intel Core i9 CPU. With this, it will offer the best-in-class power alongside a new chassis design. This will help dramatically increases performance, says Datapath. The team also re-engineered the casing to offer maximum air throughput reducing system temperature. Thus, it helps increase optimal long-term performance and reliability.

The VSN also includes USB 3.0 to support high transfer speeds and connectivity to the latest devices. Users can customize each VSN to any project requirement with a range of Datapath graphics cards, capture cards and IP decode cards. The versatility of the VSN controller thus makes it ideal for large control room applications as part of Datapath’s Aetria solution.

The Aetria Solution

InfoComm visitors will be able to experience the very latest Aetria innovations. Here, the enhancements to Aetria Workstation allow operators to access their ‘personal videowall’ with ease. They can also control sources with AVoIP KVM and share content to any connected videowall with the click of a mouse.

Operators having the ability to create their own user templates provides a more efficient operation. Additionally, applications such as Office and email will be able to run on the desktop alongside real-time video feeds from any source.

“Our Aetria solution has proved a bit hit with our customers over the past year. But, technology does not stand still,” says Datapath’s director of sales (Americas), Mark Bohs. “We are constantly looking at ways to improve user experience through our products. [We] have made UX improvements, enhanced user rights management of videowalls and added multi-cast vision stream ability. Our new ActiveSQX2 card, for example, provides scalable encode and decoding for flexible IP stream handling in mission-critical environments.”

Additional Offerings at InfoComm booth

Bohs adds, “Along with our flagship VSN V3 processor; we are proud to showcase technology that can be scaled to any control room requirement. We encourage integrators who operate in this space to visit our InfoComm booth for a friendly chat and a bespoke demo.”

Visitors to the Datapath booth at InfoComm 2023 will also get to see the full range of video controllers, capture cards, graphics cards and management software. Per the company, these offerings cover vertical markets from live events to medical and retail digital signage.
