DPI Promotes Michael Bridwell, Hires Jim Groover

Digital Projection International (DPI) promotes Bridwell to vice president of marketing and home entertainment, and hires Groover as central market development manager.

High-performance projection systems manufacturer Digital Projection International (DPI) has made two employee announcements.

DPI has promoted Michael Bridwell to vice president of marketing and home entertainment. Bridwell led the marketing strategy for DPI in the Americas for six years.

“Michael has led DPI’s marketing efforts for the past six years, and he has excelled in that position,” says Mike Levi, president of Digital Projection Inc. “Through that role, Michael developed vital connections with many of the manufacturer’s reps and dealers in our Home Entertainment channel.

“Based on his years of success and contributions to DPI, I am truly honored to announce Michael’s promotion to VP of marketing and home entertainment, and look forward to the partnerships and growth he will cultivate with our home entertainment reps, integrators and customers.” 

This new role expands his responsibilities in the residential market and allows him to focus on strategic opportunities in the home entertainment space. He will also continue to direct DPI’s marketing, communications, PR, and advertising strategies.

“I’ve been so fortunate to represent DPI throughout the last six years,” says Bridwell. “To me, this new opportunity is a natural extension of what I love most about working at DPI—serving our network and our customers.  Any expansion of duties that brings me closer to the needs of our integrators and industry partners is an absolute honor.”

New to the DPI team, Jim Groover will begin his role as central market development manager on June 9. In this position, he will supply local support to all existing DPI customers and partners, along with growing the influence of the in the central U.S. region.

With over 20 years of retail and manufacturing experience, Groover was the national sales manager for Stewart Filmscreen for the past five years.

“In my role at Stewart, I had countless opportunities to collaborate with the team at Digital Projection,” says Groover. “Their expert knowledge and robust product line were instrumental in helping me create stunning projection systems. I feel privileged to be joining this great group of people.”

Groover has also been the district manager with Tweeter Home Entertainment Group, vice president of sales MODIA Home Theater Stores, and held the Midwestern U.S. regional position for AudioQuest.

“I am thrilled to add Jim to our sales team,” says Chuck Collins, vice president of sales with Digital Projection Inc. “Jim is extremely personable and has a vast amount of experience with various projection technologies. He already knows our products well and has excellent business relationships around the country. I have no doubt that Jim will be a solid asset for Digital Projection’s customers and partners in the central region.”
