Excitement is steadily building for ISE 2024, which will return to Barcelona from January 30 to February 2, 2024. The show, of course, bills itself as the most comprehensive exhibition for the commercial AV and systems integration sectors. Marking 20 years in 2024, ISE is known as a global platform for AV brands to unveil and demonstrate exciting new solutions.
Mike Blackman is managing director of Integrated Systems Events, which produces the ISE show each year. He says, “Without a doubt, ISE is ‘Your Destination for Innovation.’ And we will prove that this is not just a claim.”
According to Blackman, the show boasts more than 1,200 confirmed exhibitors, as well as the biggest ever show floor space. “Attendees will have plenty of opportunities to discover groundbreaking innovations at ISE 2024,” he promises. “In addition, our comprehensive content program gives a platform to more than 100 of the industry’s most innovative representatives.” Blackman also urges attendees not to miss ISE’s keynotes. “These creative minds will impressively demonstrate how AV is shaping our daily lives,” he says.
Highlights for ISE 2024
The highlights of ISE 2024 will be numerous. We’ll explore just a few of them.
Seven Extended Technology Zones: ISE 2024 will offer a broad spectrum of innovative companies whose products cater to every interest. All under one roof, showgoers will find virtually every flavor of technology. These will include audio, content production and distribution, digital signage and DOOH, lighting and staging, multi-technology, residential and smart building, unified communications and education technology.
With ISE’s growth, it will now also fill Hall 1 and Hall 4 at Fira Barcelona Gran Vía. Hall 1 will become the new home for lighting and staging; meanwhile, Hall 4 will provide a new location for content production and distribution. In addition, the hall will extend the multi-technology and lighting and staging areas.
Congress Square and the Discovery Zone: This year’s significantly expanded Discovery Zone in Congress Square will be a must-visit. There, more than 70 companies new to ISE since 2022 will showcase their innovative offerings. This will ensure that integrators encounter new and unexpected solutions that can revolutionize key projects.
The Catalonia Pavilion in Congress Square will host local businesses active in the AV industry, while also highlighting business growth opportunities. It will also be the location of the ISE Open Innovation Challenge, which, for the third year running, ACCIÓ (the Catalonia Trade & Investment Agency) and Enterprise Europe Network will host. The Challenge — a hybrid matchmaking service that connects technology providers with Catalan corporations looking to purchase solutions — will draw abundant attention. Also located in Congress Square is the Barcelona City Council, who will host local startups as well as the Catalan Audiovisual Cluster.
Inside the ISE 2024 Program
Plug and Play Stage: New for ISE 2024, Plug and Play, a leading innovation platform that connects startups, corporations, venture capital firms, universities and government agencies, will host a four-day program. Morning sessions at the Plug and Play Stage will kick off with keynotes and panel sessions on innovation topics. Meanwhile, the afternoons will be all about startups. Forward-thinking companies, at the forefront of innovation, will get the opportunity to showcase their solutions onstage and pitch investors. Located in Congress Square, the Plug and Play Stage will be a chance to see the future in action.
ISE Content Program: With nine specialist conferences taking place during the show, visitors can learn from the most innovative minds in the industry. ISE 2024 will deliver a host of immersive demonstrations, inspiring panel discussions and interactive workshops. Free-to-attend sessions will take place throughout the day at ISE. They will run concurrently with the conferences.
This year, ISE’s approach extends to deploying a real-time, AI-powered translation and transcription service, which KUDO is providing, for the conferences.
