Government and public spaces are ripe for growth opportunities for the security integration industry, but it can be challenging to take full advantage of the business potential of these spaces.
Government integrators manage a long and often complicated bidding process, a mission-critical nature of projects, and providing their technicians with proper security clearance for various government job sites, according to a CI Research survey.
To offset these and other challenges, the Security Industry Association, a partner of ISC, hosts an annual Government Summit, bringing integrators together with government relations professionals to gain a better understanding of this distinct market.
The 2014 Government Summit will be held June 3-4 in Washington, D.C.
The summit provides attendees with policy insights and one-on-one networking with government and private sector professionals. Panels will be geared toward doing business with government and gaining a better understanding of the trends facing the industry.
This year, Chuck Todd, NBC News political director and chief White House correspondent, will be the keynote speaker at the summit. Todd is responsible for all aspects of NBC News’ political coverage, serving as the point person for political news and information. He is the on-air political analyst for NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams, TODAY and Meet the Press, where he also serves as a contributing editor. Todd also edits First Read, NBC’s guide to political news and trends in and around the nation’s capital.
“Chuck Todd is a premier analyst who will provide SIA Government Summit attendees with insight into significant political trends impacting our membership and the industry. His expertise will complement our discussion of government policy trends during the summit,” says SIA CEO Don Erickson.
