Tech Visionary Behind Minority Report to Speak at Smart Building Conference

The man who envisioned the future of the workplace and adapted the gesture technology he created for Tom Cruise in the film Minority Report, John Underkoffler, is presenting a keynote at the Smart Building Conference 2015.

John, founder and chief scientist at Oblong Industries, known for bringing sci-fi technology, and impressive user interface into reality, will share his insight into the importance of visual collaboration and the role of unified communications in shaping our working future during his talk.

The audience will hear firsthand of how Oblong worked with IBM at the ThinkLab engineering hub in Yorktown Heights, NY and the Watson Experience Center at Astor Place in Manhattan, on new rooms that are gesture-enabled and spatially-aware, creating a paradigm shift in communication, collaboration, and ideation that will set the standard for the future of work.
