WAVE Electronics announced a partnership with Uber Direct today. The partnership entails providing same-day delivery options that bring speed and efficiency to WAVE’s Houston dealers. Now, large integrators and small dealers can count on WAVE to deliver the products they need right to the jobsite. This, of course, allows seamless installations without interruptions. WAVE Electronics is a leading distributor in the audio and video integration market.

WAVE Electronics and Uber Direct Meet Urgent Needs

According to WAVE Electronics, the company understands the time-sensitive nature of AV integration projects. And, of course, equipment can often be misplaced, forgotten or require immediate replacement. With Uber Direct, WAVE seeks to transform how these urgent needs are met. Now, there is a delivery option that allows items to be delivered directly from a WAVE branch to the jobsite, on demand, by choosing Uber Direct while on the WAVE Electronics website.

Key features of this WAVE | Uber Direct partnership are as follows:

  • On-demand jobsite delivery: Same-day delivery ensures integrators have their required components without delays. Therefore, projects stay on schedule.
  • Reduced cost and time: This avoids additional truck-roll costs and saves integrators the time of returning to a branch for forgotten parts.
  • Minimal restrictions: Delivery within a 20-mile radius, under 50lb. per item (up to 1,000lb. total), and up to $500 in value.
  • Houston rollout with plans for expansion: Initially available in two WAVE Houston locations, beginning today. However, plans are in place for a broader rollout in additional WAVE locations.

Chris Collier, director of digital operations for WAVE Electronics, expresses the company’s excitement. Indeed, he says, “We’re thrilled to continue to reshape the consumer electronics, security and home automation distribution experience by partnering with industry-leading technology companies such as Uber.” According to Collier, “This fully integrated solution will save our dealers countless truck rolls.” By offering same-day delivery with Uber Direct, WAVE seeks to help clients keep projects moving smoothly. “We know that time is money in this business,” he adds, “and, with Uber Direct, our customers now have a reliable solution that lets them be more responsive and efficient for their clients.”

Bringing a High-Value Service to Our Industry

According to Bryan Stewart, chief sales officer for WAVE Electronics, dealers and integrators now have the ability to respond to urgent needs instantly. “This partnership with Uber Direct means we’re bringing a high-value service to our industry that makes a real difference,” he states.

Jake Stein, head of retail for Uber Direct, says that enabling businesses to grow and operate more seamlessly and efficiently lies at the heart of the partnership. According to Stein, “At Uber Direct, we’re able to leverage our delivery technology and expertise to help other businesses move goods with the speed and reliability of Uber.” This, of course, he says, allows the partner to focus on delivering the best for the customer.

WAVE Electronics has created a simple process that’s integrated directly on its website. Customers can select “Uber Direct” during checkout, allowing an Uber courier to pick up the item for delivery. This seamless solution allows installers to stay onsite. Thus, WAVE dealers can save valuable time and maintain their focus on quality installations.

As part of WAVE Electronics’ commitment to enhancing customer experience, this collaboration leverages partnerships with Adobe, Uber and Improntus. According to the company, this demonstrates how innovation and customer-centric solutions can transform AV integration.
