Legrand On-Q Launches PoE, Wi-Fi Connected Security Cameras

On-Q, a division of Legrand, releases the CM7100 and CM7000 IP security camera models with web-based connectivity solutions, motion detection and remote monitoring.

Legrand‘s On-Q division offers custom installers a diverse selection of products that range from audio solutions to structured wiring.

Adding to its line of security products, On-Q has announced its latest IP security camera products. The new Indoor IR HD Desk/Wall Mount IP Camera (CM7100) and Outdoor Bullet Camera (CM7000) provide dealers with a choice of of infrared capabilities for day and night use, and 720p video at 30fps.

Designed to install quickly and for homeowner or business space convenience, the cameras offer the latest web-based user functions.

“These two new cameras make it easy for installers to turn to Legrand when looking for video monitoring,” notes Fritz Werder, vice president and general manager, NuVo/On-Q. “The features built into these cameras offers some of the most advanced viewing capabilities on the market.”

On-Q states the CM7100 features infrared capabilities for day and night monitoring, 10 IR LEDs that illuminate an area up to 15 feet away and a wide area camera lens that provides 100-degree area view. The company also points out the camera’s analytics are designed to sense motion and record to the camera’s MicroSD card slot, and send email alerts when triggered.

The camera can be temporarily or permanently installed, and it has the option of PoE or a power supply and Wi-Fi connectivity.

On-Q’s CM7000 incorporates many of the same features as the CM7100, including the 3.6mm wide-angle lens that provides a 100-degree field-of-view, a MicroSD card slot for recording, motion detection with up to 16 user-definable regions, email alerts and monitoring capabilities through any computer, iOS or Android device.

The major difference between the cameras, according to On-Q, is the CM7000’s IR range. Unlike the indoor model that provides 15 feet of range, the outdoor CM7100 incorporates 42 LEDs to deliver a range as far as 33 feet.

The outdoor IP66-compliant camera also incorporates two-way audio with connections for a user-supplied external microphone and powered speaker.
