Designed to provide users with a light-weight, easy-to-operate PA system solution, the Electro-Voice Evolve 50 Portable Column System delivers a balance of qualities without compromising audio performance.
Electro-Voice (EV) says its new Evolve 50 Portable Column System can be used by DJs, mobile entertainers, worship facilities, singer/songwriters and bands to meet their output needs.
The company explains the user-friendly Evolve 50 features a cable-free connection that quickly secures the pole to the subwoofer module.
The Evolve 50’s portability is aided by ergonomically designed handles on the array and sub that make the system easy to transport.
Helping to facilitate the portable column system’s setup to ensure its performance, the Evolve 50 also includes an angled interface input panel that allows users to make fast adjustments and connections.
Evolve 50 Doesn’t Sacrifice Sound Quality for Portability
The portable system features eight 3.5-inch full-range drivers and a 12-inch subwoofer that is powered by a three-channel, high-output amplifier.
The Evolve 50’s driver array and custom waveguide design are engineered to produce 120-degrees of horizontal coverage and an array-formed 40-degrees of asymmetrical vertical pattern control.
According to Electro-Voice, the Evolve 50’s driver array, waveguide and dispersion characteristics enable the speaker system to maximize its power to provide proper audience coverage and clarity from front to back.
The system’s inclusion of Bluetooth audio enables users to stream content from their smart devices for the playback of background music or musical accompaniment. The Bluetooth connectivity options also provide monitoring capabilities via Electro-Voice’s companion QuickSmartMobile app.
Electro-Voice points out the app enables for the configuration for as many as six Evolve 50 systems simultaneously, and it also provides notifications during various states of operation.
