The seemingly never-ending carousel of AV mergers and acquisitions continued last week, with another top AV integrator adding a company that gives it a stronger foothold in one of its top regions. [related]
Conference Technologies, Inc., acquired the assets of Techteriors, LLC., a residential and commercial integrator of Mequon, Wisc. The key members of the Techteriors staff will remain and join the existing CTI team in Milwaukee.
St. Louis-based CTI to 21 locations that serve clients all over the world since its launch in 1988. They are the in-house AV provider for the Wisconsin Center District.
“The addition of the Techteriors team to expand our presence in Wisconsin helps us bring solutions to more people,” said CTI president and CEO John Laughlin in the joint announcement.
“Through this strategic move, we will establish a division in residential AV and add to our existing team in Milwaukee with some very talented people,” he said.
What Techteriors Brings to CTI
Techteriors president and owner John De Toro has been named the director of residential design for the Milwaukee location. The Techteriors brand will remain intact for the residential team.
“The backing of CTI’s national footprint and strong reputation will ensure the growth of our residential line and advance our capabilities in the commercial space,” said De Toro in the joint announcement.
“We are eager to continue to serve our clients, develop more intelligent environments and build from our 18 years in business in Milwaukee.”
Jeff Van Domelen has been named VP of integration as part of the acquisition.
He was the senior VP at Techteriors, directing the commercial integration group and has had an extensive career in the technology industry.
He will lead the commercial group under the Conference Technologies, Inc., brand in his new role.
The addition of the Techteriors team grows CTI’s employee count to nearly 450 people throughout the country as providers of AV/IT technology solutions.
