AVPro Edge ConferX Expands Solutions with 8×4 Matrix

Published: 2020-07-23

AVPro Edge, an AVPro Global Holdings company, recently announced an addition to the AC-CX84-AUHD matrix switcher, the latest addition to the company’s ConferX line.

ConferX “offers sleekly designed solutions specially built for the commercial installer,” the AVPro Edge announcement says. This matrix comes with military grade stability, a 10-year warranty and “strong engineering practices,” according to the announcement.

The AC-CX84-AUHD is an 8 input, 4 output HDMI/HDBaseT matrix switcher with Quick Switch technology. With Quick Switch, a 4k30 signal can switch less than 3 seconds and a 1080p signal can switch less than 2 seconds.

This 4K switch “can display any of the eight inputs through both the HDBaseT and HDMI output ports. All four of the outputs are completely independent of each other allowing the user to show four sources at the same time,” the AVPro Edge announcement says.

“This switch works seamlessly with the rest of the ConferX line-up and gives any end user a simplified experience for sharing ideas inside a classroom, conference room or huddle space,” according to the company announcement.

“We’re excited to expand our conference room/classroom solutions with our new 8×4 matrix switcher,” said AVPro Global CTO Matt Murray in the company announcement. This switch allows integrators to offer quicker switching, even when connected to the latest Macbook Pros or Thinkpads that are outputting a taxing 4K signal.

“This gives trainers, teachers, professors or presenters the tools they need to concentrate on their message, not the AV signal flow,” he said.

AVPro Edge recently showcased the AC-EX70-SC2-R at InfoComm 2020 Connected. The AC-EX70-SC2-R is “aimed at integrators who need to distribute a signal long distances to a variety of displays and keep an optimal picture,” according to the company announcement.

Integrators “will enjoy the versatility of not only controlling up/down scaling but handling EDID issues (including 4K HDR EDID’s) and being able to access audio from the stream,” the announcement says. This HDBaseT receiver/scaler is ready for 18Gbps 4K HDR signaling.
