The new Christie DS Series of projectors provide integrators a range of laser projectors with a choice of three models that deliver up to 9,000 lumens of brightness.
Christie says the the new 3LCD-based products produce a range of 7,500 lumens to 9,000 lumens, along with contrast ratios as high as 4,000,000: 1.
The LWU755-DS, LHD878-DS and the LWU900-DS DS series projectors offer features such as 360-degree orientation, as well as a choice of input and outputs that include HDBaseT, and an operational lifespan up to 50,000 hours.
“The patented optical engine in the Christie DS Series is more efficient than its competition because of the compact laser diode block,” comments Brad Martin, product manager, Christie.
“This design changes the excitation light spot shape from a round spot to a rectangular shape and disperses the energy on the phosphor wheel, which improves the reliability of the phosphor wheel.”
4K & Resolution Specs
The LHD878-DS and LWU900-DS projectors produce 9,000 and 8,775 lumens each respectively, as well as a WUXGA or HD resolutions, and have the ability to accept 4K at 60Hz signals.
Both products also offer edge blending and warping, and a low-power mode that enables the projectors’ to offer up to 50,000 hours of operational life.
Described as a mid-brightness projector, the LWU755-DS produces brightness levels up to 7,550 lumens and a WUXGA or HD resolution.
Like the other DS Series products, the LWU755-DS also offer edge blending and warping. The LWU755-DS also provides advanced color management, and a choice of black or white finishes.
Integration with Other Products
All three models are capable of integrating into control systems from companies such as AMX and Crestron, and include LiveView so users can share AV content from their computers to the projectors via LAN or wireless connections.
“The Christie DS Series delivers a sleek and versatile line-up of mid-brightness 3LCD laser projectors at an unbeatable value,” adds Martin.
“With the option of HD or WUXGA resolutions, the choice seven lenses and brightness levels up to 9,000 lumens, the DS Series is perfect for applications requiring a little extra visual punch without blowing the budget.
“The combination of great affordability, better brightness, a truly superior warranty and a rich feature set is a total cost of ownership innovation for the market.”
