IP video technologies provider Exterity is launching an update to its AvediaServer at CCW 2015, which takes place at New York’s Javits Convention Centre, November 12-12. AvediaServer 7.3 adds managed 7 day catch-up TV and enhanced support for Smart TVs and Android devices.

As a central hub for managing IP video systems, Exterity AvediaServer provides lets users monitor and control all Exterity devices from one place by recording live TV for later playback, providing video on demand and importing assets such as training videos and movies which can be distributed as video on demand or as play channels.

The AvediaServer 7.3 sees important new features “such as managed support for 7-day catch-up TV and support for a range of Smart TVs,” says Exterity CEO Colin Farquhar.

“Another key addition to the AvediaServer is support for Android devices, which, in addition to our current Apple support, dovetails with our ‘Beyond The LAN’ functionality. This enables Exterity IPTV solutions to support the distribution of content to mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets, which is increasingly important for our customers, whichever sector they operate in.”
