InfoComm 2016 Highlight: SiliconCore’s Camellia 0.95mm LED Display

Published: 2016-06-15

At booth #N948 at InfoComm 2016, SiliconCore showcased its smallest pixel pitch LED display to date, the Camellia 0.95mm.  The Camellia is ideal for boardrooms, command and control, corporate lobbies, broadcast, simulation and high end retail where close proximity, brightness and contrast are of the utmost importance.

Eric Li, CEO of SiliconCore, took the time to talk to CI about what the company wanted integrators to take away from visiting the company’s booth at InfoComm 2016, June 8-10 in Las Vegas.

If we learn about only one product innovation in your InfoComm 2016 booth, what should it be?

At Infocomm we showed our smallest pixel pitch LED display to date, the Camellia 0.95mm, in a striking 4K resolution achieved at just 165″ diagonal. This marks the point when LED displays are brought into the same arena as traditional large format screens.

FEATURED REPORT

With exceptional 1700 Nits brightness and less than three feet viewing distance, this is perfect for close proximity and direct view applications never considered before with LED Displays.  The Camellia is ideal for boardrooms, command and control, corporate lobbies, broadcast, simulation and high end retail where close proximity, brightness and contrast matter most.

Ok….what other products were important for attendees to see?

It’s important to ask what is going on behind the scenes, not just what you see in a demo with visual display technology. The advancement in pixel pitch was made possible by our unique Common Cathode technology which reduces the heat output of displays, thereby removing the need for additional cooling, extending the lifespan beyond 100,000 hours and resulting in lower power consumption, for industry leading total cost of ownership.

We have also focused on developing our patented LED driver chip to ensure processing speeds are advancing to support increasingly high resolutions. This is crucial for maintaining perfect image and video quality without sacrificing elements like brightness, which many other manufacturers may overlook.

What’s one last impression you’d like us to take away from your InfoComm 2016 booth?

We are the leaders in ultra fine pixel pitch LED displays and find people head to us each year to see how we are innovating and introducing the latest products to market for the next 12 months. Our objective is to innovate and be at the cutting edge of display technology, leading the way in research and development, quality and TCO. You have to see our displays to really appreciate their impact, which is why Infocomm is such an important showcase for us.
