Planar aims to provide InfoComm 2016 attendees with unique insights regarding fine pitch LED products and looks to show off its Clarity Matrix LCD Video Wall System at its booth #C7736 at this year’s show, June 8-10 in Las Vegas.

Jennifer Davis, vice president, marketing and product strategy at Planar and chief marketing officer, Leyard International, took the time to talk to CI about what the company has planned for integrators visiting its booth at InfoComm 2016, June 8-10 in Las Vegas.

If we learn about only one product innovation in your InfoComm 2016 booth, what should it be?

It is hard to choose!  I would say that one innovation that we want people taking away from InfoComm 2016 is that truly seamless, fine pitch LED products, from Leyard and Planar, are ready for a wider range of video wall and display applications than ever before.

Fine pitch LED is ready to replace other technologies in the control room, like rear and front projection systems.  It is ready to expand the canvas of presentation and collaboration in board rooms and executive offices.  It is ready to be used for a wide variety of digital signage applications, at price points more affordable than ever.

And new formats of LED displays, perfect for both rental and staging, as well as fixed installation, create even more opportunities.  Leyard, as the market leader in fine pitch LED, has unique insights to offer customers as they consider this technology, perhaps for the first time.  You’ll see this leadership demonstrated in full force at InfoComm 2016.

Ok….What if we have time to see one more thing?

We will be highlighting the latest iteration of the award-winning Clarity Matrix LCD Video Wall System, with the narrowest bezel-to-bezel gap and features designed to ease installation and reduce total cost.  LCD remains the market leading video wall solution and no one does it better than Clarity Matrix – with the thinnest installation depth, most built-in processing features, and off-board electronics and power for higher reliability.

What’s one last impression you’d like us to take away from your InfoComm 2016 booth?

We are excited to delight customers with cutting-edge innovations which create never-possible-before video installations.  See-through glass that lights up with video with the new Planar LookThru OLED transparent display.  Large seamless video walls that allow customers to paint their spaces with seamless video canvases.

Creative uses of LED and LCD to do things never before possible with displays (Planar Mosaic architectural video wall and the brand new Leyard CarbonLight Family). Thinner bezels and mounting depths for LCD video walls (Clarity Matrix).  More functionality in large format 4K displays and interactive systems (Planar UltraRes Series with Planar TouchMark, Planar EP Series 4K displays, Clarity Matrix MultiTouch) and a host of technology demonstrations that show visitors what the future of display looks like.
