InfoComm through the Eyes of a Teenage Lighting Designer

Published: 2014-06-30

Will Flavin, a 17-year-old lighting designer from Louisiana, attended his first InfoComm this year and took note of some of the best booths and most exciting products he saw while walking the North and Central Halls of the Las Vegas Convention Center.

Here’s his recap, along with explanations of why he liked each item and what applications he sees for them.

Because Will was an InfoComm rookie, he wasn’t exactly sure what to expect at the largest pro AV trade show in the world. But he was regularly dazzled and amazed by the sights and sounds from manufacturers he’s worked with in the past and those he might work with in the future on his projects at churches, sports arenas, concerts halls in and around New Orleans.

Will’s perspective on the show gives readers who weren’t able to come to Vegas or who didn’t have time to visit every booth something fresh, new and exciting to consider for their installation. Maybe, too, it’ll give readers a new partner to consider on their future installations.
