Sensory Technologies Acquires AV Solutions

Acquisition expands Indianapolis-based integrator into Northeast.

Sensory Technologies has acquired AV Solutions, a division of Toshiba America Business Solutions, a move that gives the Indianapolis-based company a presence in the northeast U.S.

Together, the combined companies will boast more than 115 employees “with extensive experience in helping clients connect with their customers globally through impactful, virtual meetings, improve their internal communication, accelerate their decision making, and deliver memorable, immersive experiences,” according to the combined press release.

With the acquisition, Sensory’s footprint expands from offices in Indianapolis, Chicago, Ft. Wayne and Dayton to include Syracuse, Buffalo and Rochester, N.Y.

As one of 36 APEx certified companies globally, Sensory Technologies “will continue to offer audiovisual design and integration expertise for everything from huddle spaces to boardrooms to customized, immersive experiences,” according to the announcement.

The company will also “continue to invest heavily in its ever-growing managed services, including cloud digital signage and cloud videoconferencing, onsite meeting support, asset management and video creation/management,” the press release says.

“This acquisition aligns perfectly with Sensory’s goal of achieving growth,” says principal Derek Paquin. “We’ve been very selective in pursuing companies and are confident that we’ve found the perfect fit. The new, combined organization will offer broader and deeper technical knowledge, new product offerings, more choices and greater value to our clients.”

AV Solutions VP Bill Riley calls the acquisition “an unbelievable opportunity to merge two leaders into an even more robust organization.”

Sensory Technologies was among 15 firms selected as corporate Industry Leaders in 2015, and managing principal Anne Sellers is a member of the NSCA board of directors.

“This is such a natural fit due to our shared belief that it is our responsibility to develop solutions that take into consideration the ‘human factors’ of technology and insure our clients fully realize the value of their investment,” he says.
