How PPDS Bundles Their Display Products to Benefit Integrators

Joseph King of PPDS joins us for another episode of CI 3 Questions — this time, to tell us what is unique about their digital display offerings.

CI: PPDS provides ancillary benefits such as bundling solutions, trusted partners, etc. How does this fit into benefiting customers in ways competitors might not be able to?

Joseph King: We do a really good job of bundling amount, bundling power supply, all the cables, everything that somebody would need, whether it’s a two by two or three by three or multiples thereof of video walls. It really makes the integrators job much easier, which which makes the installation at the end user go much easier.

In that everything arrives together, you’re not searching for things from four or five different providers. We’ve got a system on chip product that has been really successful. And we’ve worked with a number of software providers to make sure that when that product gets to the end user side, all that software is already there.

So we can provision all of that ahead of time. And then when it gets to the site, it just cuts down the installation time, gets the end user up and running much more quickly than they would have in the past. So as we develop these products, we’re always coming back to: what’s the application?

We’re trying to do much more work internally about identifying what vertical is it going to go and where do we think it’s going to live. So we’re trying to as we develop it, not just necessarily build a product, and kind of had that attitude that if we build it, they will come.
