The Energy Monitoring and Control Solutions to See at the iminate InfoComm 2018 Booth

Published: 2018-05-25

The iminate InfoComm 2018 booth (#N3227) will feature 14 new digital lighting, fan control, energy monitoring, voice control and networking products. Here’s a quick Q&A with president and COO Mike Anderson on their InfoComm recommendations.

Commercial IntegratorIf we learn about only one product innovation in your InfoComm 2018 booth, what should it be?

It’s hard to pick just one – we have 14 brand new products and together they form a system that has a ton of unique features, including true digital lighting and fan control, real-time energy monitoring; battery powered wireless keypads, integration with more than 400 products, voice control with Alexa and Google Assistant, remote control from anywhere in the world, Wi-Fi communication with no hub, ability to include devices on different networks as part of a single system, and more.

However, if we must pick one product, it’s the Keypad that comes in three versions: In-wall — that is either line voltage powered or uses a 9V battery — and a surface mount version that uses 4 AAA batteries.

Suddenly, an easy one-touch user interface can be installed anywhere, and control virtually anything.

CI: Ok….What if we have time to see one more thing?

If there is one more thing to see, especially in today’s world, it’s the iminate Detector.

It has three main functions: Occupancy sensing, glass break detection and, maybe most importantly, gunfire detection. With Detectors deployed across a corporate or educational campus, the location of any detected event is reported to authorities immediately.

CI: What’s one last impression you’d like us to take away from the iminate InfoComm 2018 booth?

Our system provides a host of unique features with the primary function of simplifying energy management and automation. And, our iminate system requires no hub, meaning one product works by itself as well as it does as part of a system – so the system is easily scalable.

For commercial users, the iminate dashboard allows managing multiple-room systems to track and control energy usage. This allows hotels, office spaces, and medical facilities to control their systems how they wish; by device, room, floor, or as a whole.

They can also provide a temporary password for guests to control the system, or approved parts of a system, from their smartphones during their stay.
