Granted, director of sales Steve Bachelder is a little enigmatic about the product that wire management solutions provider Connectrac will unveil at InfoComm 2019.
One thing is clear in his video interview with Commercial Integrator, however – Bachelder and the Connectrac family are particularly exited about the impact that they expect it to have on AV integration and the impression it will leave on InfoComm 2019 attendees.
“We are launching a brand new product that nobody will see until InfoComm,” Bachelder says. “It’s a product that allows a much simpler installation for our AV integrators [yet it] allows all the AV, all the data, all the connectivity and communication right along side of it. So we are very excited for [InfoComm 2019 attendees] to see for the very first time a brand new, next-generation Connectrac product.”
A 14-year-old company, Bachelder explains that Connectrac entered a partnership a decade ago that exposed it to the the AV integration industry. “We’ve kind of grown up with InfoComm,” he says. “Now we’ve been selling on our own to the AV world for quite some time.”
What Exactly Is This New Product?
After several years of creating wire management solutions, Connectrac recognized a need that it could address for AV integrators. “Our CEO said, ‘Let’s blow up the ship. Let’s create this product that will freak everybody out,’” he says.
“So yes, we want our AV people to come to our booth and see it for the very first time. It’s kind of a show-and-tell. They can pick it up. They can play with it. It’s going to be very exciting.”
What exactly is “it”?
All Bachelder would say is that it’s simple. “I think the most important thing they’re going to see is simplicity. The integration world is so complicated with so many things you have to integrate,” he says. “They’re going walk away and say that was the most simple thing for us to install and put it to every space that we go into.”
As for what specifically what the new product is, it sounds like InfoComm 2019 attendees will have to wait and check out Connectrac booth No. 4160.
