TD SYNNEX Corp. has announced new network security services designed for AV integrators that offers complimentary vulnerability scans for up to five public-facing IP addresses.
According to the tech distribution giant, this enables integrators to capture point-in-time snapshots of their customers’ external-facing IT assets.
The Reseller-Enabled Vulnerability Assessment Program, available through TD SYNNEX ServiceSolv, provides a detailed assessment of the customers’ security posture. This is then reviewed by a vendor-neutral security expert.
TD SYNNEX says the program identifies vulnerabilities 97% of the time. This results in new sales in security products and services, and participating integrators average year-over-year product growth of 79%, compared to 29% for those who do not.
Sandi Stambaugh, vice president of product management, says network security continues to play an increasingly significant role within the pro AV industry as integrators work with customers to eliminate vulnerabilities on a more regular basis.

The company bills the offering as a response to the proliferation of IoT in pro AV and the growing number of non-traditional devices connecting to the network.
