D-Tools InfoComm 2018 Booth Features Upgrades to System Integrator 2018

Published: June 19, 2018

D-Tools’ System Integrator 2018 (SI 2018) continued an impressive run for the company this year as the winner in the project management and design/web software category of the 2018 CI BEST Awards, which were officially handed out at InfoComm 2018 in Las Vegas this month.

Although previous versions of the software platform have been similarly honored by CI in previous years and at previous industry trade shows, the latest updates to the SI 2018 make it even more worthy of the praise we continue to heap upon it.

SI 2018 includes improvements in several areas, including how users can deal with:

  • Change orders
  • Permissions and security protocols for larger companies
  • Scheduling
  • Taxes
  • Integration with PSA and USAV organizations’ product libraries
  • General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) compliance
  • AutoCAD integration improvements
  • Service contracts and recurring revenue

In a press release before InfoComm 2018, D-Tools pointed to growth in several commercial sectors as the driving force behind many of the most recent SI 2018 updates.

“System Integrator 2018 provides beneficial new enhancements ideally suited for commercial AV and IT, higher education, and security professionals,” according to the D-Tools press release

In its CI BEST Award submission, D-Tools described System Integrator 2018 as “a comprehensive estimation and budgeting, design and project management software platform, designed to fulfill the diverse needs of commercial systems design and installation firms.”

D-Tools “ties project workflow together into a singular, data-driven, connected process that improves operational efficiency and increases profitability,” according to the CI BEST award submission.

System Integrator 2018, the Customer Portal and Mobile Quote 2.0 were all on display for the first time to the InfoComm 2018 audience.

More from the D-Tools InfoComm visit with chief marketing officer Tim Bigoness:

“All of the information in the bill of materials can be used to schedule out work orders and service orders for your field techs,” says Bigoness.

“They can get their tasks in the field, they can track their time, they can mark items complete and all of that information flows back to the project. We can measure estimated vs. actual in the project.”
