If you’ve paid attention to our monthly Connected to the Community article in CI print then you know integrators have been doing some incredible things for charities, groups of people, and individuals this year. Despite the difficulties that COVID-19 presented for the integration industry, members of that industry didn’t let it stop them from making a difference for those in need.
This year, in tandem with Commercial Integrator’s Integration Awards, Herman Pro AV and Commercial Integrator want to recognize an integration firm that has made a difference in the past year through some form of philanthropy.
It might be that the integration firm raised money for an established charity. It might be that they did pro bono work for a local business or church in need. It might be that they helped a single individual in some small way that made a big difference in their lives.
Whatever the integration firm did to make a difference, we want to know about it! Integration firms can nominate themselves for the Make a Difference Award, or those outside of the integration firm can nominate them. All nominations must be in by June 21.

What we’re asking for in terms of nominations is a story. Why did the difference need to be made? How did the integration firm get involved? What was the impact of what the integration firm did? Give us a sense of how this firm went out and made a difference for those in need and the impact of that philanthropy. We’re also asking for some great photos – the project the firm completed, the team doing some good, the big reveal, or anything else related to the charitable act or donation.
The winner of the Herman ProAV and Commercial Integrator Make a Difference Award will be announced in tandem with the winners of the integration awards at the end of June. Herman Pro AV will also pay for lunch for the team at the winner’s headquarters as a thank you for the great work they’ve done.
