ScreenBeam Flex Debuts at ISE 2024

Published: January 29, 2024

ScreenBeam Inc., a global provider of wireless display and collaboration solutions, announced the availability of ScreenBeam FLEX. Per the company, ScreenBeam FLEX enables native wireless presentation from any operating system without special software or drivers. The FLEX thus delivers critical features for SMB and higher-education customers. These include high-performance wireless display, a built-in HTML 5.0 digital signage player, interactive flat panel support for wireless inking and annotation, and ScreenBeam’s multi-network architecture to provide easy access for employees and guests without compromising enterprise-grade network security. In addition, the company says customers can add advanced features as needed when they want to ‘Flex.’

“Ease of use, agility and flexibility are hallmarks of finding the right wireless platform. Flexible AV technology solutions ensure a rapid return on investment without compromising future needs. ScreenBeam FLEX fulfills the need for a high-performance wireless presentation solution that does not compromise quality or performance and a feature set focused on immediate needs while providing an upgrade path to advanced capabilities when needed,” says Mike Ehlenberger, ScreenBeam general manager and VP. “We expect users will be delighted with the FLEX, whether you are a business or educational institution with large-scale needs.”

According to ScreenBeam, the wireless presentation and collaboration has never been more straightforward with the FLEX. Here, users can connect the receiver to the network (wired, wireless, or both) and display and access wireless screensharing, extended desktop, inking and touch, multiview and more. The Flex thus brings simple and intuitive user experiences without the need for complicated proprietary drivers or end-user software.

Integrated Digital Signage

ScreenBeam says its integrated Digital Signage Player is free with the FLEX receiver, thus adding value to the investment in digital flat panels for rich HTML5.0 standards-based digital signage streams.

Per the company, FLEX allows users to fill the gaps between presentations or conferences with rich multimedia capabilities that grab the eye and convey the most valuable message. Announcements, key events and branding increase the display ROI without interrupting essential presentations.

Additional Features

The FLEX is also upgradeable to advanced features, allowing deployment of only the required features, including:

  1. Video conference support for room peripherals
  2. Room Calendaring
  3. MultiBeam, allowing content mirroring to additional receivers
  4. Native whiteboarding (requires touch-capable display)

According to a statement, ScreenBeam FLEX includes a best-in-class Central Management System – Enterprise (CMS-E) for large-scale device deployment and management for free. Alternatively, a web browser can manage the Flex receiver locally through a Local Management Interface (LMI).
